Description:Swedish Medical Group is looking for a Clinical Competency Registered Nurse (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Clinical Education And Safety at Swedish Medical group in Seattle, WA.Apply Today! Applicants that meet qualifications will receive a text with some additional questions from our Modern Hire system.The Clinical Competency RN is responsible for ensuring that training and competency measurements are implemented so that care is provided in accordance with ambulatory care policies and procedures, established standards of nursing care and practice, and state and federal regulations. Acts as a leader to ensure the mission and goals of the organization are met.In this position you will:Coordinates, plans, and maintains New Caregiver Experience for clinical caregivers.
Collaborates with Core Leaders and Operational Leaders on New Caregiver training needs.
Design, develop, implement, measure and sustain a competency-based training plan for Medical Assistants, RNs, LPNs and related clinical roles within SMG/ACN.
Develop, organize and direct the new caregiver training and continuing education of clinical support staff.
Assist in hiring new employees and coordinating subsequent training and orientation programs.
Qualifications:Required qualifications for this position include:Bachelor's Degree Nursing with minimum of 3 years experience. Or equivalent educ/experience
Professional level of knowledge equivalent to that acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing;.
3 years Experience in clinical education in healthcare setting and direct nursing care experience.
Active, unencombered, current Washington State RN license required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN).
Preferred qualifications for this position include:Master's Degree Strong preference for an advanced degree in Nursing, education or Business/Health
2 years Ambulatory care and/or medical group practice setting experience.
Teaching degree or equivalent experience preferred.
