The director will partner with multi-disciplinary teams to create and execute business critical store-based programs and initiatives for the America’s region. Builds and leads effective team(s) through change by modeling effective planning, implementation, and sustainment of change. Provides leadership, strategic direction, development, and evaluation of the day-to-day performance of team(s) to ensure delivery of results and compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures. Leads with a growth mindset with emphasis on problem solving to drive improvement and growth.As a director, program management , you will… Lead a centralized team to focus on commercialization efforts across construction, design/architecture, equipment, and store development operations.

Develop and deliver fully commercialized changes, new elements, and equipment solutions to regional store development parts to execute at scale.

Leadership - Sets goals for the work group, builds organizational capability, develops and communicates direction for the team:Supports the successful implementation of company programs. Works collaboratively to inform and guide program planning and execution (across SD divisions and SSC).

Develops strategic and operational plans for the work group, directs execution, and uses data to assess results.

Informs/develops, communicates, and implements standards and policies to enable growth at scale.

Works across divisions with all directors to ensure commercialized solutions are adopted and reflect required regional differentiation.

Leads team to work collaboratively with construction, facilities, real estate, and design to generate successful methodologies, systems, procedures that lead to optimal outcomes in time, cost and quality of work.

Contributes to and manages the development of the annual operating plan and budget, and quarterly forecast updates.

Actsasatechnicalexpertfor pre-commercialized innovation efforts to ensure that pilots and tests are able to be scaled.

Develops and maintains Starbucks global A/E drawing/specification standards and quality assurance program for field-based drawing and construction efforts.

Works collaboratively to develop common standards that appropriately incorporate regional variances, address field issues and needs. Uses partner insights, customer feedback, and historical data/experience to guide commercialization updates.

Planning and Execution - Develops strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution, and measuring results:Prepares, communicates, and educates client groups and team on changes in policies and practices within the organization.

Plans and manages business unit and department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives.

Develops and maintains Starbucks global A/E drawing/specification standards and quality assurance program for field-based drawing and construction efforts.

Provides project specific, design review as required to support divisional teams’ consistent execution.

Partner Development & Team Building - Provides partners with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities to build effective teams:Hires talent and builds a team to maximize individuals’ strengths and deliver results.

Conducts and ensures the completion of regularly scheduled performance conversations.

Ensures partners adhere to legal and operations compliance requirements.

Oversees training and development of partners directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions.

Understands traininganddevelopmentalopportunitiesofpartners directly and indirectly managed. Works with peers to identify and develop cross divisional talent plan.

Establishes role clarity and enough structure to keep the team solution-oriented and consistently delivering on objectives.

Provides coaching, direction, and leadership support to team members in order to achieve partners, business and customer results.

Leadsandcoaches toachieve partner, business, and store development objectives.

We’d love to hear from people with: 10 years of experience in project, program and portfolio management

10 years of management experience with full profit and loss accountability for investments in a Fortune 1000 firm with a global, multi-unit and high-growth profile

5 years of experience in the application of industry-based systems development life cycle and project management methodologies (e.g., Agile & Waterfall)

Business and system process analysis and design and delivery method experience

5 years of general management and people capacity management experience

5 years of experience working with multiple and complex programs
