Currently seeking a Failure Analysis Technician for a large consumer electronics company located in Seattle WA.
Responsibilities
· Troubleshooting various hardware and software functions
· Working with engineers in doing initial triage and preparing units
· Reworking and repairing defects in prototype builds
· Helping run experiments and trials to precipitate failures
Qualifications
· 2 years’ experience and a four-year degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience)
· Experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems
· Able to populate PCBAs with thru-hole and SMT components
· Able to read and understand 2d drawings and schematics
· Proficient with most engineering shop hand tools for both mechanical and electrical aspects
· Experience with CNC fabrication tools like mills, 3D printers, or laser cutters is a plus
· Have experience in consumer electronics, robotics or other mechatronics applications is a plus
