The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Flight Controls and Systems Integration teams are looking for Associate Flight Controls Systems Integration and Safety Engineer to fulfill positions in Systems Integration, Safety Analysis, and Development Assurance processes. This role is located in Everett, WA.

The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location. This position allows some telecommuting options.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop, refine, and execute Development Assurance processes for various programs
  • Conduct System Safety Analyses including Functional Hazard Assessments, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, Common Cause Analysis, and Single & Multiple Failure Analysis
  • Support developing Certification and Development Assurance required artifacts
  • Support in-service airline customer squawks and safety review process
  • Plan and conduct engineering lab and flight simulator testing in support of verification activities
  • Cross-functional coordination with other organizations such as Avionics, Crew Ops, Airplane Safety, Aero, Supply Chain, and BCA Systems Software
  • Coordinate with the FAA and other regulatory agencies as necessary
  • Coordinate with Supplier teams on development programs


This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes , lawful permanent

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 2+ years of technical experience in an aerospace environment or a Master's degree in System, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience in Flight Control System design
  • Experience in requirements development, design, analysis, and verification & validation of BCA flight control systems
  • Experience using IBM Rational DOORS for managing requirements
  • Experience with System Safety Analysis


Typical Education/ Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
