Java Support Engineer Primary Location: Seattle, Washington
V-Soft Consulting is currently seeking Java Support Engineer client in Seattle, Washington. This is a contract position.
Education and Experience »
3+ years of experience in Java application production support and/or maintenance.
2+ years of SQL & PL/SQL skills. Should be able to write basic SQL queries.
2+ years of experience with on-call responsibilities for production support.
1+ years of scripting skills in Bash & Python.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities »
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
WHAT YOU’LL DO: Job Responsibilities:
Identifying the root cause and fixing it on permanent basis to prevent reoccurrence.
Incident management, Log analysis, and Application monitoring.
Diagnose intricate software problems, provide solutions and workarounds to ensure the highest level of reliability for critical applications.
Rotational on-call availability for production systems support.
Day-to-Day:
On a day-to-day basis this engineer will provide application production support for Java based services.
Most of their day will be analyzing the incoming tickets to identify the problem and address the root cause by fixing the code and/or working with upstream/downstream teams.
