Also, responsible for leading the up-sell and implementation of clinical program solutions to clients in accordance with client business plans and coordination with the account management team. Ensures the proper reaction to and resolution of issues concerning the pharmacy benefit program. Responds to RFP and RFI requests in regulation with internal and external guidelines. Manages both internal and external stakeholder communications for assigned area.Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for managing and coordinating clinical relationships clients
Work in conjunction with the broader specialty pharmacy team on a variety of clinical account projects including identifying short-term and long-term upsell opportunities that support better client medication management
Responsible for individually managing a set of clients with the account management team, conducting face to face meetings with clients, developing and delivering client benchmarks
Identify and implement opportunities for provider collaboration that will improve quality and / or reduce cost. Visit key provider group as necessary
Prepare and present provider risk group reporting and updates
Develop and execute annual Pharmacy Business Plans in collaboration with the plan leadership to drive membership, assure contract compliance, financial targets and other plan strategies
Identify and present trends to leadership
Requires a current unrestricted state license to practice pharmacy as a registered pharmacist (RPh); minimum 2 years of managed care pharmacy experience including knowledge of current health care and managed care pharmacy practices; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background
Minimum 3 years of managed care pharmacy experience is preferred
Must have client facing experience
Must have experience responding to RFPs/RFIs
Must demonstrate proficiency in project management
Must demonstrate proficiency in clinical/technical communication to business leaders, an ability to communicate messages pertaining to programs and systems using data and other details in a way business leaders can understand
Must demonstrate proficiency as a key participant in program development, where the program seeks to improve clinical outcomes, quality, cost or other measure
Experience in data analytics is preferred
Must be able to provide comprehensive solutions to an issue while considering both internal and external needs
Must have Microsoft Office Proficiency: Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word
Minimum 3 years of PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Management) or health plan experience strongly preferred
Professional designation preferred
