Salesforce Platform - User Interface & Design Stack

Our Product Marketers are storytellers first. We make the complex, simple. Our stories are human, easy to relate to and we take pride in sharing a narrative born out of our customers' success and grounded in an understanding of our products & features. We measure our success by our ability to develop creative and innovative marketing strategies that gain the mindshare of our key buyers and users.

This is a fast-paced role on the Platform Product Marketing team focused on web developers, designers, and UI architects. The best candidates will be highly collaborative individuals who have a passion for web development technologies and can take the initiative on building compelling stories for this audience.

In this role, you will be the voice of the product working closely with your counterparts in Product Management while enjoying ownership and responsibility for a wide variety of creative activities that drive awareness, understanding, and growth across internal and external audiences. You’ll build product positioning, go-to-market programs, campaigns, events, content, demos, and enablement programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with Product Management leaders to develop positioning and messaging for Lightning Web Components and our related UI development & design initiatives.
  • You'll distill key functionality and benefits into core product marketing stories, and create technical narratives along with key product themes.
  • Own positioning for our Lightning UI products across all channels - internal and external.
  • Be the go-to person and Web Developer/Designer product expert within the Platform Product Marketing team, intelligently and effectively articulating and demoing the product value proposition.
  • Track the competitive landscape, understand target markets, emerging web deployment platforms, and identify market insights to inform product strategies and go-to-market activities.
  • Launch new products and features to customers, taking products from pilot to general availability. You will collaborate and motivate cross-functional teams (including sales, product, and marketing) to support your delivery of world-class product marketing.
  • Create high-quality content such as demos, webinars, videos, blogs, and slides. We value presentation skills alongside storytelling.
  • Collaborate with campaigns and distribution teams to support sales enablement, along with demand generation-spanning events, campaigns, social media programs, references, customer stories, as well as press & analyst relations.
  • Know the developer mindset and be a passionate evangelist both internally and externally on the benefits of our front-end UI technologies, and UI/UX development on the Salesforce Platform.

Required Skills/Experience:
  • Passion for web development, UI/UX design, front-end UI frameworks, web components, and related technologies businesses employ to create, host, secure, and scale experiences. You consider yourself to be “technical” and have a deep curiosity to learn new things.
  • Prior experience as a web developer, web designer, or front-end engineer, as well as familiarity with modern UI frameworks (e.g., React, Vue) and deployment technologies for static sites (e.g., Netlify, Vercel) are preferred, but not required.
  • Strong collaboration, analytical, critical thinking, and business strategy skills.
  • Ability to engage with and earn the respect of both deeply technical developers, as well as IT decision-makers.
  • 3+ years experience in product marketing at an enterprise software or platform company.
  • This role requires a combination of technical acumen coupled with the ability to communicate the technical elements in a simple, effective manner. You must be a great writer.
  • Creative thinker that can generate innovative marketing ideas and lead a cross-functional team of stakeholders to drive execution.
  • Strong public speaking skills and ability to develop creative and compelling customer-facing presentations.
  • Proven track record in performing well in a fast-paced environment and organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, Computer Science or Engineering background helpful and MBA a plus, but not required.
  • A great, winning attitude that can inspire optimism and fun.
