The Operational Planning Specialist will assist by tracking and completing team projects and tasks using internal tools to ensure timely completion of deliverables and accurate capture of metrics; while also providing project support to new and ongoing initiatives. The Project Specialist will perform regular audits/general project coordination in support of the execution and implementation of initiatives for the Team.

Responsibilities:
  • Designs standardized processes and Best Practices from initiation to completion in partnership with SMEs, including project scope, documentation, measurements, communication, and implementation to stakeholders and management.
  • Manage end-to-end project plans to ensure on-time delivery while driving execution.
  • Researches and evaluates industry standards and benchmarks to support projects.
  • Fosters strong cross-pyramid partnerships and is able to effectively prioritize workload demands to meet project deadlines.
  • Create sustainable communication themes in conjunction with systematic routines, processes, and preparedness activities for clients to execute consistently.
  • Distinctive problem-solving and analytical skills combined with strong business acumen and technical savviness.
  • Acts as the liaison and point of contact for both internal and cross-functional projects.
  • Evaluate project status and resource utilization; implement changes as needed; review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required.
  • Create project plans and builds consensus among diverse sets of stakeholders.
  • Support management through project planning and coordination to meet commitments on time and within resource limitations; with client and management approval, assist with the determination of requirements, priorities, and monitoring of progress.
  • Work within program discipline and develop expertise as the documentation subject matter expert (SME), to expedite revisions, corrections, and changes to previously published documentation.
  • Meet regularly with client management for status updates.
  • Lead daily operations and directs the implementation of standards, procedures, and best practices that ensures a cohesive, consistent, and uniform global program.
  • Manage small MAC, security system vendor selection, and new technology updates.
  • Provide ongoing communication of planning, project status, issues, and risks in a timely fashion to internal security teams, cross-functional management, and executive teams.
  • Manage performance metrics to evaluate progress and success.
  • Manage large new build auditing processes.

Qualifications:
  • 5 – 7 years of applicable Project Management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or relevant experience.
  • Proficient with Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and organization.
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding setting.
  • Ability to quickly learn and master new technology.
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and InDesign.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings, and participate in team building efforts.
  • Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested
