The Retail Globalization Team (RGT) team accelerates and enables new country launches by bringing best at Amazon practices and developing scalable country operating models.Amazon is looking for a smart, inventive, and enthusiastic candidate to join the Retail Globalization Team as a Sr. Business Development Manager. We are seeking a customer-obsessed individual with strong business development and vendor management skills to build collaborative relationships with vendors and Amazon stakeholders worldwide. Your work will directly impact how we evolve and grow Amazon's global business.As a successful candidate you will be a thought leader, highly collaborative, globally minded and have an extremely high level of customer focus and cultural sensitivity. You can work seamlessly with both internal and external stakeholders to understand the challenges and business needs, and identify and develop solutions that drive the global business. You should be a motivated self-starter that can work both independently and with others in a fast paced, ambiguous environment. The candidate should also have excellent communication and negotiation skills as well as aptitude in business writing.Join a startup team that is changing how we think and work globally. You will not find a role like this often.Responsibilities include: Work closely with Amazon global and country teams to understand selection opportunities across multiple countries. Identify selection opportunities and leverage strengths in one country to help other countries grow more quickly. Identify and onboard new vendors for Amazon's global programs in countries with and without Amazon presence. Develop and grow strong collaborative relationships internally and externally. Assist senior leaders across countries and categories to understand and deliver against opportunities. Provide input on the design and validation of new global systems, tools, and functionality. You will help develop processes and mechanisms to make this work scale.The Sr. Business Development Manager will identify new selection opportunities, onboard new vendors and brands for Amazon's global programs, and work with Amazon's largest vendors in select countries. Our goal is to increase relevant selection for our customers worldwide.The person in this role will be responsible for creating and delivering against this vision in the simplest way possible with internal and external business stakeholders around the world.
