DescriptionSr. Systems Analyst6-Month ContractBH# 1021385Gathers, and documents business requirements to support the design and development of technology and/or process solutions. Leverages relevant processes, technology, and subject matter experts to propose appropriate solution options. Clearly communicates issue resolution. Performs application maintenance and system configuration in support of solution delivery initiatives. 5-7 years.Typical Day in the Role:Acts as contact for all incidents on system issues or problems.On call rotation. 24/7 escalation support.Works with cross functional internal and external teams.Troubleshoots, identifies issues to ensure resolution and keeps systems operational.Gather RCAs, documents KBAs.Identifies trends, gathers requirements and escalates issue trends for resolution.Works on Splunk, New Relic and other monitoring tools.Develops recommendations and coordinates issue resolution with Information Technology (IT)System Configuration .and.amp; Testing:Performs application configuration (i.e. create attributes, workflows and UI changes) in support of solution delivery initiatives.Supports data conversion. Performs the extract, load, and validation of converted data.Supports solution testing efforts by developing test plans, preparing test environments, performing test execution, and validating test results.Uses data queries to support validation of data conversion and test results.Production Support:Provides 247 global support of critical systems.Drive system support, working trouble tickets and escalating to teammates according to priority and required expertise queue, completing resolution within SLA.Develops system proficiency and builds subject matter expertise through root cause analysis.Coordinates issue resolution with vendors and/or cross-functional teams. Provides timely and thorough communication regarding issue status/resolution with end-users and team.Creates and maintains systems documentation (e.g. Wiki, Knowledge Base Articles) Develops and facilitates system training.Uses query tools to write ad-hoc queries for mass data analysis and operational reports.Candidate RequirementsA strong technology background, comfortable working across a range of systems and technologies.Possesses scripting/development skills to build effective tooling and remediate simple coding issues.Proven experience of automation techniques, approaches, and tooling. 8-10 years.Working knowledge of systems development lifecycle and IT operations.SQL, Splunk .and.amp; New Relic –really any query language/ monitoring tool is okayInterested in support teams is crucial as this is the primary function of the team. roleNice to have:Cloud preferably Azure, AWSDevOps support engineer experience is a HUGE plus (candidates with this experience have been more successful)Top 3 must-have hard skillsSplunk – any query language – new relicAzure – cloudExperience on an on call/support experience (non-negotiable)EEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer. You will support engineering nonconformances and anomalies during engine production, test, and fleet service to include repair/refurbishment as well as production and process driven continuous improvement initiatives. To be successful in this role, you will need to understand how to apply structural analysis principles in a post-development environment to include production, test, and fleet service. You will need to understand how these functions interact within the post-development lifecycle as well as the relationship to upstream product development efforts. You will demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement by applying your structural analysis expertise to identify and implement production driven improvement opportunities such producibility design changes and process driven improvements including analysis workflow, methodologies, acceptance criteria, and structural repair manuals. Basic understanding of liquid rocket engine systems, manufacturing, and production are important. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform structural analysis in support of engineering nonconformance and anomalies during engine production, test, and fleet service. Support production driven continuous improvement initiatives such as cost and producibility design changes. Develop production structural analysis methodology and process improvements to streamline post-development support efforts such allowable damage, acceptance criteria, and structural repair manuals. Work closely with related engineering disciplines (development structural analysis, manufacturing, design, test, quality) and technicians to help diagnose discrepancies, provide engineering dispositions, and identify corrective actions. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering discipline 2+ years of structural analysis of pressurized components or similar high-performance hardware such as those used in launch vehicles, aircraft, gas turbine, or by the nuclear industry. Experience performing static and fatigue analysis utilizing both classical and/or FEM methodology. Ability to communicate technical information effectively. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
