The Boeing Company is hiring for a Warehouse Business Transformation Industrial Engineer (Levels 2-4) to join the Corporate team and will be supporting Renton and Everett, WA.

As Boeing adapts to new market realities and positions for the future, we are evaluating ways to enhance and optimize our operations and space utilization. Fulfillment operations in Puget Sound have been challenged with sub-optimal warehousing, a decentralized network, redundant flows with highly manual processes, and numerous IT systems (20+ interfaces). Our mission - to transform our business with efficient and integrated warehousing operations - is underway and will be complete by end of 2024.

In an effort to optimize fulfillment in the Puget Sound and address key metrics like safety, quality, number of touches, space utilization, and throughput, a cross-functional Boeing team has been set up for future-state operations that would seek to improve those metrics through consolidation of integrated warehouses, high density storage and automation, and system enhancements. We are now looking to grow the IE support for this project. In addition to preferred warehousing and logistics experience, some key IE skills we are looking for include experience with facilities layout design, work statement analysis, capacity and constraint analysis, budgets and forecasting, data analytics, and lean improvements.

  • Develops models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders and customers.
  • Researches, designs, develops, improves, and implements processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for large scale systems integration and asset utilization.
  • Develops and implements plans and programs for facility/factory modifications and revisions to operating methods.
  • Creates product assembly instructions and standardizes assembly practices. Prepares operations plans, includes work statement analysis, budgeting and forecasts, capacity and constraint analysis and production change, to ensure technical goals and objectives are met.
  • Supports execution planning by using project management, planning and scheduling and shop load practices.
