Job Summary:
Mercurys Coffee Co. is seeking a motivated Barista to join our energetic team. The ideal candidate is someone who can grow and flourish daily. They maintain Mercurys' trademark quality standards at all times and provide outstanding customer service to every customer. Our Baristas always put the customer first and do what they can to make a positive impact in their life. This is more than getting a cup of coffee, this is building relationships. We are currently hiring for our Bellevue, Woodinville, Kirkland, Fall City, Sammamish and Redmond locations only. You must be able to commit to this job for a year or more. We are not hiring for short term, seasonal positions.
Essential Job Duties:
Make quality coffee, while building relationships and providing outstanding customer service to every customer
Follow guidelines regarding cleanliness and safety daily
Keep coffee and food products fully stocked
Be an expert on Mercurys’ menu with the ability to learn new drinks as needed
Willingness to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift, as assigned by manager
Preferred Skills:
Dedicated team player with ability to work independently
Strong attention to detail with presentation, preparation and cleanliness
Self-starter who can maintain a positive and upbeat attitude while remaining responsible
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast moving environment
Eagerness to learn and grow
What we need from you:
At least 18 years of age
Open availability, including weekends (we are currently not hiring seasonal employees)
Having coffee experience is not required, but is a plus
Outstanding attendance and punctuality
Reliable means of getting to and from work
The location of this role is in our coffee stores, where you may be in close proximity with other Baristas. You may be on your feet for up to 8 hours a day and required to walk, bend, reach and twist to perform your duties. This role also requires the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
