The Nurse is responsible for ensuring quality of life and care for all residents in an assigned area in the Health Center. He or she participates in assessment, problem solving, and decision making in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team. The Nurse administers prescribed medications and treatments to residents in his or her assigned area, supervises the Certified Nursing Assistants, and completes required documentation.
The ideal candidate has successfully completed Nursing School, has a current Washington State RN license, has a current Basic Life Support certification/license, and has at least one year of experience. Current IV training and certification a plus. He/She must have a genuine desire to work with the elderly or disabled. Basic computer skill is required. Fluent English speaking and writing skills, empathy and the ability to listen, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.
