Job Summary: Grow awareness and increase attendance to Pacific Science Center’s evening, adult programming, including PacSci at Night, 21+ events, IMAX and laser shows.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with marketing team and program managers to develop and implement strategic marketing plans to increase awareness and ticket sales for theaters, events, and PacSci at Night adult programs.
  • Develop and project manage marketing plans PacSci at night, including marquee events, tasting events, happy hours, and additional evening programming.

  • Track progress of marketing plans and ticketing sales for events.
  • Develop and project manage marketing plans for IMAX feature films, IMAX documentaries, and laser shows.

  • Lead regular meetings with Events and Theaters teams
  • Produce event and theater campaign reports; work with events and theaters teams to integrate learnings into future event and show planning and strategy.
  • Lead grassroots marketing and promotional efforts for 21+ events, including postering, ad hoc signage, fliers, promo cards, and street team efforts.
  • Manage outreach to local concierges and neighborhood partners; identify and expand relationships in the South Lake Union, Lower Queen Anne and Belltown areas.
  • Develop and work with PR to execute on an influencer strategy for PacSci at Night, including swag creation and distribution.

  • Develop content for email campaigns, newsletters, website, digital and print advertising for events and theaters. Work with digital marketing team and external consultants to test and iterate on content strategy for PacSci at Night and Theaters audiences.
  • Project manage design requests for PacSci at Night events, theaters, laser shows, and additional events as applicable.
  • Manage marketing budget for PacSci at Night, IMAX feature, IMAX documentaries, laser shows, and additional events with support from the Marketing Director.
  • Identify opportunities to expand marketing for PacSci at Night, IMAX, and laser shows.
  • Plan and promote events related to IMAX and laser shows.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications/related field or commensurate experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill
  • General knowledge of marketing, advertising and event promotion
  • Experience driving event attendance and hitting revenue goals
  • Scrappy and determination to make things happen
  • Creative thinker and problem solver
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work cross-functionally
  • Experience working in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment
  • Analytic mindset; data-driven
  • Team player with ability to collaborate across the organization.
  • Self-motivated
  • Minimum of at least 4 years of marketing or events experience preferred
