Make a difference in the lives of animals! Auburn Valley Humane Society is looking for an Animal Care Assistant. Duties include daily care of dogs, cats and the occasional pocket pet in regards to physical and mental health, kennel maintenance and enrichment. This position works closely with medical/behavior staff to care for shelter pets.
Applicants should have the ability to develop a variety of skills (we will train) like animal handling, supervising volunteers, medical treatment and disease prevention. They should be able to work independently, but also part of an enthusiastic and supportive team of coworkers who genuinely care about the well-being of all our animals. Applicants with a sense of humor and a positive attitude are encouraged to apply. Applicants should not be afraid to get a little dirty and love to clean, organize and keep tings tidy.
