Experienced Bookkeeper/Office Help Needed - We are a fast growing Diesel & Automotive repair shop and are looking for the right person to handle all of our bookkeeping and office admin duties.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
-Record accounts payable, expense receipts and bill payments
-Create and distribute customer/commercial account invoices
-Post customer payments and other bank deposits
-Post payroll and payroll taxes
-Reconcile bank, credit cards, and 3rd party payer accounts
-Reconcile prepaid and accrued expense accounts
-Document bookkeeping processes
-File and pay taxes when relevant
-Complete Monthly Excise/B&O Tax Returns
-Place vendor purchase orders and validate receipts versus orders
-Create monthly reports on the financial state of the company
-Work with benefits companies to enroll employees and deal with open enrollment periods
-Keep records and files organized for efficient retrieval

-Ability to work effectively and efficiently manage time
-Comfortable with technology, learning new software and apps
-Willing to take the initiative on problem-solving; strive to make improvements
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Pays strict attention to detail
-Self-starter with the ability to work independently to resolve problems
-Analytical and strategic thinker
Job Requirements and Qualifications
-Relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping
-Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices.
-Proficiency with Excel and other MS Office products
-Proficiency with QuickBooks is required; QuickBooks Enterprise is a plus
-Understanding of cash flow projections is a plus
-Cost accounting experience is a plus
-Experience in the automotive repair environment is a plus
