Systems Engineer II
Duration: 6 months
The System Engineer (SE) is responsible for assisting with the complete technical deployment lifecycle of the Solidworks Product Data Management (PDM) software. Day to day work will focus on the development and integration roadmap, publication and maintenance of product infrastructure documentation, and general system support. The candidate will also ensure that the technical solution meets all of the information security requirements of the third party application deployed in Native AWS (NAWS). The SE must have experience working with AWS products and services and be able to self-direct and problem solve.
The System Engineer will in part:
• Be responsible for the deployment and configuration of new Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) as required.
• Be responsible for defining and enabling the PDM infrastructure monitoring and support response strategy.
• Define, deliver validate the disaster recovery strategy.
• Design and develop a data collection strategy which may include the creation and management of APIs. This work will require working with database owner(s) to architect a data structure, consumption layer, and a reporting program to best visualize overall datasets.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Experience with AWS products and services
- Experience defining system requirements
- Prior responsibility for system maintenance
- Experience using and developing APIs
- Experience developing and executing disaster recovery plans
- Effective Written and Verbal Communication
