Pilates is a fast-growing sector of the fitness industry. It is recommended by Physical Therapists for rehabilitation, as cross training for a wide variety of sports and recreational activities, and is good for every body. People of all ages benefit from, and enjoy Pilates, which is tailored to individual needs and goals. It is particularly attractive for baby boomers looking to stay vital as they age.
Since 2005, Vitality Pilates Teacher Training Academy has offered an industry recognized comprehensive teacher training program. We welcome applicants from all fitness levels and educational backgrounds. The Pilates Method has helped many of our clients overcome personal fitness challenges. Some of our trainees come from the world of wellness such as yoga and massage therapy, while others are transitioning from an office setting to a studio classroom. Applicants with extensive prior experience in allied professions may be able to apply 90 credits from previous training. No matter which path brings you to Vitality Pilates, we honor your experiences and support your professional and personal growth.
Training sessions begin in March and September and last one year.
Scholarship Opportunities
A limited number of merit-based scholarships (partial tuition reduction) are available for candidates with extensive backgrounds in Pilates or allied professions such as dance, yoga, sports and exercise science, physical therapy, or massage therapy.
Work Study Opportunities
A limited number of work study cleaning and special projects positions (partial tuition reduction) are available for candidates with clear financial need coupled with passion for the Pilates Method.
Teaching Opportunities
Annually, we offer one partial tuition reduction for an exceptional candidate who wants to enter into a 1-year substitute teaching contract with Vitality Pilates after earning their comprehensive equipment certificate. Substitute teaching is the standard route to permanent teaching shifts.
