Anacortes Elks #1204 is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to help manage the day to day accounting and finances of a private not for profit/non-profit organization.
Confidentiality, organizational skills, and accuracy are a MUST, as well as commitment to meeting deadlines.
Salary is: DOE
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Balance and maintain accurate ledgers
Match purchase orders with invoices, coordinate bank
deposits and report financial results on a
regular basis as directed.
Pay vendor invoices and track bank account balances.
Work with Washington State Gambling Commission and
file the necessary reports in a timely fashion.
Payroll and Payroll Taxes, including Labor and Industries
reports and payments.
Work with the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis
Control Board and file the necessary reports in a timely
fashion.
Other duties as assigned
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS:
Five years or more experience in Accounts payable and
receivable, general ledger, payroll and payroll reports
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting
principles
Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and
computer operation.
MUST be able to develop and produce financial reports
quickly and as directed.
Prepare quarterly and monthly tax returns, along with
payroll, operating and business taxes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and QuickBooks.
A working knowledge of nonprofit, private organizations,
and their financial procedures and responsibilities.
Knowledge of the food and beverage industry a plus
