Skagit River Brewery is a local iconic Brew-Pub style restaurant in downtown Mount Vernon.
We are seeking Line Cook(s) and/or Prep Cooks to join our team. We also have need for a dishwasher. D/W is great for someone with little (under 6 mos) or no experience in a commercial kitchen as we will train the right person to cook/prep and you can advance.
Here you will have the opportunity to learn new skills, such as working with a wood-fired pizza
oven, be a part of a fast paced but fun environment, and join our efforts in supporting locally
owned businesses. We will be at the heart of the hustle and bustle of the Tulip Festival this spring
and look to leave a big impact on the experience guests have in Skagit Valley. We work to be a
part of historic downtown and its preservation; which is why we have a detailed recycling program,
composting, and limit the use of disposable products such as plastic straws.
Knowledge:
Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
Have a Washington State Food Worker card.
Previous prep or line cook experience preferred but not necessary.
Anything you dont know we are willing and ready to teach you!
Skills/Aptitudes:
Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
The individual must be able to transport up to 35 pounds.
Must be able speak, read and understand basic cooking directions.
Spend long periods standing.
