Sugiyo USA, Inc. is seeking a full time Quality Control Inspector to join our team!
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in process improvements that promote efficiency in operation, food, safety and quality
QA/Process line monitoring, corrective actions and continuous GMP Inspection
Verification of the different inspection points
Product sampling, micro/qualitative testing to include review of results and releasing products.
Post/pre-operational sanitation inspection.
Monitoring swabs after sanitation inspection.
GMP assessment in the processing line
Train/control proper use of chemicals in cleaning/sanitizing.
Maintain boot wash stations, chemical dispensing systems and chemical cage inventory
Assist in label check and approval
Assist in the annual refresher training program of the company
Receiving raw ingredients
Other duties include review of documents, program requirements and records generated from the monitors; pest control monitor; back-up person in the absence of the QA Manager; assist in production as needed.
Desired Experience and Skills:
Experience in food processing environment (1 – 3 years)
Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF, or other GFSI schemes
Knowledge of lab equipment
Experience working with regulatory or third-party inspections
Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
Some computer knowledge – basic word and excel
Background in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field a plus
This position will be a full time, day position with limited overtime. The pay is $14.50 per hour.
