Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is currently looking for a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to join the Aircraft Modernization and Modification team in Tukwila, WA.

This position will focus on work with a dynamic and diverse Systems Engineering team that supports the design, configuration, production, certification, and delivery of aircraft integrated systems. Primary focus will be on Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C)

Position Responsibilities:

• Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
• Evaluate customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
• Perform various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
• Perform analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success
• Support the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes
• Assist with cross-functional technical issues

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
• 3+ years of experience in Systems Engineering Principles
• 3+ years of experience performing data analysis and/or reporting

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Have or have held an active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months
• Experience using the tools DOORS or Cameo
• Knowledge and/or experience with FAA Certification
• Experience with 3D Modeling tools

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
