Teaching children with Developmental Disabilities (such as Autism, Epilepsy, Cognitive Impairment, Cerebral Palsy, and other related disabilities) new skills while teaching effective coping skills and positive behavior techniques. Skills are taught from the following life areas: Social and Emotional Development, Gross & Fine Motor Skills, Communication, Self-Help Skills, Community Safety Skills and other necessary Activities of Daily Living. Here at Syringa we work as a team. Therapy is provided in our clinical setting, in children's homes, in public schools, in home-schooled setting and out in their natural community.

Bachelor's Degree in Human Services required (education, social work, psychology, special education, etc). 1040 hours of experience working with children with developmental disabilities completed (or you can complete the hours with us at a different wage). The BI Professional certification requires that you take a 40 hour online course.

We pay the same wage for direct time with clients as we do indirect paperwork duties, training and meetings. We pay for drive time and mileage if requested to drive to our other therapy center or to a client's home.

Syringa offers paid vacation time to all staff, 401K for employees who are with us past on year, and paid holiday pay for full time employees. Starting wage is currently $17 an hour but wages will be increasing a few dollars an hour this summer 2019.
