Behavior Interventionists work 1:1 with children with developmental disabilities in the home, school, and community settings. Therapy is provided based on a child's individual needs as outlined on his/her treatment plan addressing skills across developmental domains including communication skills, social skills, self-care, and coping skills. The broad reaching goal is to train children in the skills that they will need to be socially and functionally successful in the years to come.
Requirements:
Bachelors or Masters degree in a human service field such as Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, etc.
Habilitative Intervention Certification issued prior to 7/1/19 OR 40 hours training in Applied Behavior Analysis.
At least one year supervised experience working with children with developmental disabilities such as Autism, Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy.
CPR/First Aid Certification.
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) Training, can be provided upon hire.
Cleared Idaho State and Federal background check.
