Overview
As the Field Service Technician in Spokane, Washington, you will assist with on-site installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of telecommunications products and equipment that TDS sells and leases. You will have direct, face-to-face contact with our customers and is expected to be proactive with the sales of TDS services and products. Services include, but are not limited to, Telephony, Video/CATV/DBS, Internet, and/or high speed networks. You will exceed customer expectations by performing extraordinary customer service, identifying customer needs, and providing them with communications solutions. In this position, you will also understand how to use and demonstrate TDS products and seeks sales opportunities while educating the customer. Products & services include (but are not limited to): Local Service, Central Office Services, Structured Cabling, MAC (Moves, Adds and Changes), Voice Mail, Audio and/or Video Conferencing and Non-regulated CPE.
The pay range listed for this position represents the low and high end of the base compensation range. The actual offer amount will carefully consider multiple factors, such as relevant skills, qualifications, work experience, location and/or competencies that align with the specified role. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses and equity awards.

Responsibilities
Assists with and performs on-site installing, troubleshooting, testing, splicing, repairing, and maintaining telephone equipment and general network equipment, customer premise equipment, Video/CATV/DBS, fiber optic/copper facilities and/or other TDS products & services for new and existing customers.
Identifies location of defective cable using various test equipment and repairs buried, aerial, underground and/or customer cable.
Locates cable and fiber in response to customer requests and/or construction needs.
Pole climbing and operating construction equipment is required.
Locates, identifies and marks company underground and buried facilities to prevent facilities from being damaged.
Keeps orderly log of all locate requests in our exchange area.
Performs cable fault acceptance tests on newly constructed facilities.
Assists with and provides troubleshooting support techniques and corrections. Responds to \"trouble\" dispatches.
Assists with and provides support for enhancing and maintaining record systems (cross connects, line groups, network elements, etc.).
Provides excellent customer service. Proactively educates and sells TDS products and services to customers.

Work schedule is Monday-Tuesday Thursday-Saturday
Hours will be 7:00am 3:30pm
Flexibility in work schedule is a must. The day after a Postal Holiday is a required workday.
SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing specialized duties in support of department operations, including sorting, opening, prepping, counting, batching, scanning, and prioritizing incoming utility invoices. High volume, fast paced environment. Assists in providing quality service to our internal clients. Additional duties include general mailroom and filing functions.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sort, open and prep incoming utility invoices with a high degree of accuracy
Identify due dates and prep bills appropriately for scanning
Differentiate between high and low priority correspondence and process as instructed
Identify utility invoices/correspondence containing documents other than an invoice, such as, urgent notices, checks, meter issues, violation notices, etc and expedite their process
Create, scan, and transfer batches, ensuring legible images.
Scan high priority correspondence and transfer to appropriate team folders.
Process incoming and outgoing shipments for internal and external clients.

Education/Certification/Knowledge:
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Mailroom or clerical experience preferred.
General office machine and computer experience
Attention to detail in tasks and processes, with a high degree of accuracy.
Dependable/reliable, results oriented.
Able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and workflow.
Ability to stay focused with repetitive type of work.
Must be a service minded individual who is flexible and adaptable.

The pay range for this role is: $15.74-$21.60.
