And under this roof, we protect what matters most.Team OverviewAs an integral part of the Building & Roofing Science Team, this role will be the curator of technical education content for the design community and be responsible for the development of creative storytelling through various mediums to support the GAF | Siplast Commercial business. Through collaboration with subject matter experts, this technical leader will have a published voice within the industry through written and visual content, with opportunities to present to national audiences. This position will be remote based.SummaryAs the Design Content Visionary Manager (Technical Education Manager), collaboration with the larger Building Science Team will be essential to drive thought leadership, and develop innovative ways to engage the design community through interactive storytelling.The overarching objectives of this team includes:● Promote technical literacy within the design community.● Provide concierge service to architects and specifiers and influence specs.● Build trust and become the “go to” resource.● Support our sales team via upstream customer engagement.Essential Duties● Develop new content○ Enhance storytelling through visual and written content development■ Current and future research efforts■ Content to support business focus■ Thought Leadership & industry relevance■ Work with Building Design Managers to fulfill content needs○ Present content through various mediums■ National webinars■ Regional tradeshows / Industry events■ National conferences○ Assist with content development and/or strategy for AIA, Greenbuild, IRE● Update and improve existing content○ Enhance content engagement by using unique approaches to interactivelearning■ Video clips■ Design challenges■ New graphics / animation■ Details and install images■ Hands-on elements■ Learning activities■ Reinvent intros and wrap-ups■ Weave sustainability narrative throughout content■ Develop / repackage content for GBCI credits○ Revive past research efforts & enhance storytelling through contentdevelopment● Enhance communication of educational content○ Nurture campaign development / management○ Newsletter educational content development○ Social media content development○ Development of video series to embed in education content and social media● Participate in larger commercial initiatives, as requested (ie. Spec enhancement; detail overhaul; technical manual updates; build out of vertical focus).Under This Roof, We Require● Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Graphic Design, Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree and minimum 10+ years of relevant industry experience.● 7+ years of graphic design, architectural design OR building enclosure experience● Content Creation & Development Skills● Travel Requirements: 10-15% travel for company meetings and national industry events.●Valid driver’s license is required.Under This Roof, We Also Value● Proficient in Google Business Suites or Microsoft Business Suite.● Technical and professional knowledge of the roofing industry, preferred.● Industry certifications such as AIA, CDT, LEED AP, PE, RRO, RRC are highly preferred.● Experience with SalesForce is preferred.● Strong Public Speaking and Content Development skills - able to present well to large groups and foster engaging conversations through open-ended questions.● Knowledge of roof systems and their interaction with the building enclosure.● Working knowledge of building science.● Instructional Design, Sketch-up / CAD abilities.● Graphic design skills and video editing skills are a plus.● Social media management is a bonus.● Excellent communication and organizational skills.● Must be highly motivated, energetic, and persuasive.● Ability to multi-task and work independently.#LI-CL1Consideration will be given based on geography, candidate experience, and qualifications.Annual Salary Range: 126,000-161,000How We Protect What Matters Most:
