General Construction Laborer

Ginno Construction is seeking Laborers to join our busy team. A General Laborer is responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations at a construction site.

Responsibilities

Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, forklifts, skid loaders, and other tools as directed by management.

Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including erecting scaffolding, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches.

Shovel materials to and from construction areas

Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management.

Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site on a daily basis.

Load and unload construction supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment.

Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.

Assemble and fasten materials, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.

Physical Requirements

Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.

Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, moving materials, and manipulating things.

Being able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis

Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.

Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.

Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent is a plus but not required. We are willing to train if you have a good attitude and are willing to learn.

Additional Information

Positions are full-time, 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime. Our jobs are spread throughout Northern Idaho and Eastern Washington so reliable transportation is a must. Starting wages are from $16 - $20/hour depending on experience.
