Service and Repair Shop Technician for locally owned and operated DME/CRT Company that has been providing over 30 years of business in the Spokane area. F.T.; 8-5; M-F. Wage DOE, and includes medical and retirement benefits. Must provide current MVR with clean driving record when dropping off resume, possess strong people skills and have previous mechanical and electrical experience. Past experience in the DME and Rehab market is preferred. High School Diploma or GED required. Only experienced applicants need to apply. Job Specifics:

Troubleshooting, repair, assembly and installation of durable medical equipment. This includes working on all types of various equipment such as, wheelchairs, scooters, power wheelchairs, tilt systems, lift chairs, standing frames, hospital beds, patient lifts and walkers Various tasks and requirements include the following:

1. Custom modification, assembly and installation of seating systems and interfacing of specialty drive controls to existing power chair bases.

2. Diagnostic testing of electrical systems and the ability to read fault codes and reasoning skills to determine the root cause of failure.

3. Minor and complex troubleshooting of medical equipment.

4. Routine maintenance checks for safety of equipment and basic repairs of replacing tires, tubes, bearings, arm pads, upholstery, batteries, motors, gearboxes and joysticks.

5. Being able to read and decipher instructions for the assembly of custom seating and positioning systems and being able to take multiple manufacturer components and to assemble them together.

6. Must be able to follow directions, take constructive criticism, interact with staff and be 100% devoted to caring for the patient by being compassionate and understanding of their needs.

7. Must be able to "think outside the box."

8. Organization, part knowledge, inventory control and ability to work with superiors to resolve and work through complex issues aids in the development and understanding of the position.

9. Computer skills required for accessing parts books, on-line manufacturers and pricing.
