CNC Machinist Wanted
Integrated Ideas and Technologies, an AS9100 certified aerospace machine shop, has an immediate opening for a CNC machinist. This is a day shift position, Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 p.m. Qualified candidates should posses the following:
-A technical certificate for cnc machining, or equivalent work experience of at least two years of operating cnc mills and lathes.
-An ability to read and understand drawings and GD&T symbols, including parts lists and assembly drawings.
-Applicants must be proficient with basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, plug gages, test indicators, height gages, etc.)
-Applicants should have an understanding of the properties of aluminum, steel, stainless steel and plastics as well as the speeds and feeds needed to machine them. Most of the machining we do is aluminum.
-Programming experience is a plus, Surfcam or Edgecam programming experience is a bigger plus.
-Experience operating 4 and 5 axis mills and C axis lathes with live tooling is also a plus.
-Job duties include:
-Cutting stock on a band saw or using CNC waterjets
-Setting tool length and diameter offsets, as well as work offsets
-Adjusting cutter compensation and G code to meet tolerances
-Designing basic fixtures needed to machine parts
-Inspecting parts after machining
