PCT is a metal fabrication shop looking for a powder coat operator for our swing shift position(M-Th 1:00-11:30pm). We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual to join our team.
POSITION SUMMARY: This position requires the Powder Coating of products in a spray booth according to specification. Material preparation such as cleaning, and masking, among other techniques is required.
KEY or ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The essential functions of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Know powder application techniques
Ability to read blueprints
Operate pressure washer
Keep work area clean
Prepare parts for coating
Follow all principles and practices of powder coating application
Operate all coating equipment including guns, hoppers and booth collection systems
Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects
Determine paint flow, viscosity and coating quality by performing visual inspections or by using viscometers
Bake parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitations
Ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently, and are consistent with company established goals for quality and customer order on-time performance
Ensure quality standards and processes are used throughout facility
Ensure safety guidelines are being met to assure a safe work environment
Load and unload parts or product onto fixtures
Proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in powder coating.

Duties of this position will require regular use of these types of machinery and equipment:
Pressure washer
Powder Applicator
Batch oven
