The following position will require approx one week of training (paid) in our Sandpoint, Idaho office. After training the applicant can work in either our Spokane or Sandpoint office.
This is a detail oriented front office position responsible for accounting functions related to a wholesale non-food business. We provide supplies and products including: disposable paper goods, kitchenware, glassware, bar supplies, hotel supplies and janitorial products to hotels, restaurants and bars. We also provide inventory to many schools and municipal agencies.
Duties include updating invoices, monitoring profit percentages, basic accounts receivable duties, cash balancing, tracking inventory, processing customer credit cards, inputting sales orders, pulling product from the warehouse, managing customer accounts, answering phones, directing calls, taking orders, and assisting fellow employees. Candidates must be able to learn products and customers facilitate sales to local customers, respond to customer and co-worker inquires, and proficiently utilize our accounting system.
Preferred candidate must be computer literate, proficient with 10 key, 10 key adding machines, Excel spreadsheets, and have knowledge of a module based accounting system. Candidate must have strong data entry experience as well as an understanding of accounts receivable functions and be able to understand applied payments and credits. Sage accounting system knowledge would be preferred. Candidate must be a problem solver, team player, have excellent communication skills, and be able to multi-task between accounting functions, sales, and supporting fellow co-workers. Preference will be given to long term candidates with a desire to grow with our expanding company.
This position requires 90% sitting and 10% standing. Applicant must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds.
