Full-time evening receptionist needed for non-profit outpatient chemical dependency and mental health treatment agency.
Evening Receptionist Hours: 12:00 PM-8:00 PM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Reception
Work with a diverse, high-needs population while maintaining appropriate boundaries
Greet and interact with clients in a pleasant and respectful manner
Arrive promptly at the beginning of each shift
Ensure the reception area is kept orderly, safe, and quiet
Answer and transfer phone calls to the appropriate extensions or voicemail boxes
Answer client/caller questions, if able, or refer to appropriate staff member
Inform counselors of the arrival of clients for appointments
Copy and distribute administrative forms, client census forms, incoming faxes and mail
Compose and mail client release letters in an accurate and timely manner
Help schedule appointments and assist on-site ARNP three days a week with office patient flow
Lock the building and only allow clients and staff entry between 5:00PM-8:00PM
Secure and alarm the building at the end of the business day
Keep track of and collect payments from evening program clients
Clean the coffee maker and prepare coffee for the following day
Become comfortable with the agencys Electronic Health Records system
Client Services
Protect client confidentiality
Accept client payments, provide receipts and complete proper documentation
Check client eligibility daily using the Electronic Health Records system
Complete digital filing on a regular basis
Assemble and disassemble client files
Attend staff meetings as necessary
Skills and Experience
Pleasant phone voice
Experience with multi-line phone system
Knowledge of standard office machines”copier, postage meter, coffee maker
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Willingness to become comfortable with agencys Electronic Health Records system
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to take direction and follow through on assigned tasks in an accurate and timely manner
Ability to work with a diverse group of people with challenging behaviors
Adaptability, flexibility, and a team-oriented attitude
Physical Demands
Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time
Ability to lift 20lbs occasionally
Ability to crouch occasionally
Ability to perform repetitive motions often using wrists, hands, and fingers
Finger dexterity including typing ability and grasping small objects
Work Environment
Accessibility to administration building
Indoor exposure to changing temperatures
Exposure to loud noises occasionally
Interacting with a diverse, high-needs population
Must be able to pass Washington State Patrol background check and pre-employment drug screen.
