Sales Executive

The Spokesman-Review is seeking an experienced sales professional, a person who wants to join this community-oriented, family run business.

The ideal candidate thrives on building new customer bases and is motivated to achieve sales goals by producing new and non-traditional revenue.
What you will do:
* Present a growing array of print and digital solutions to The Spokesman-Review and spokesman.com's prospective client base.
* Leverage our full-service digital agency, Triple-nine, to help local and regional businesses maximize the amazing potential of online marketing.
* Present Spokane7tickets, a robust event management ticketing solution, to area event managers and organizers.
* Sales and follow-through for various Spokesman-Review external events.
* Plan and manage territory with emphasis on acquiring, developing and retaining customer base.
* Create customized solutions to meet our customers' needs while working closely with a team of managers, product specialists and a creative design team using our vast portfolio of advertising solutions.
Who you are:
* Possess strong prospecting skills,
* Excellent listening skills, customer service skills, and ability to present confidently to any size prospect.
* Able to understand and effectively counter sales objections.
* Exhibit creative thinking, and problem solving skills in a positive manner.
* Able to meet with customers in-field, face-to-face; higher percentage of work hours will be in the field.
* Have a thorough knowledge of various multimedia platforms, and the ability to decipher the success/failure of a promotion on these platforms.
* You have the skills that will allow you to meet and exceed marketing goals in a highly competitive industry, and to work independently.
* You have a college degree with concentration in communications, advertising or marketing. Or equivalent professional experience.
The position is base ($550.00 WK) + commission with the potential to earn up to $65K a year or more!. The position also offers a full suite of benefits (medical, dental, life insurance, etc.), paid vacation and sick time, and a matching 401(k) program.
