Qualification Requirements:
Applicants must have: 2 years mechanic experience (preferably heavy-duty diesel and hydraulic), must have own tools, High School Diploma or equivalent, must be at least 21 years of age, must have a valid driver's license and good DMV report. Although not a pre-requisite for initial hire, a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) will be required, some CDL training maybe available through Champion. Must provide a resume and work history with references.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
⢠Be on time and presentable
⢠Keep work area neat and orderly.
⢠Perform services on class 8 trucks (Mack, Kenworth, Peterbilt)
⢠Trouble shoot and repair, electrical systems, brake systems, and hydraulic systems.
⢠Paperwork: Complete and submit inspection forms, parts tags, and maintenance forms. Keep an accurate timecard of time worked.
⢠Work variable schedule, roughly 10:00AM to 7:00PM Monday through Friday, some Saturdays as necessary.
Physical Demands:
⢠Must be able to meet DOT requirements for hearing and vision.
⢠Must be able to verbally communicate to others.
⢠Good manual dexterity to climb on and around equipment/trucks.
⢠Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds to overhead position.
⢠Must be able to push and pull up to 50 pounds.
⢠Must be drug and alcohol free.
