Summary and Qualifications:

Link the business strategy to a setof artifacts defining logical and physical architectures, roadmaps, andmaturity models, while providing guidance and governance.

Oversee and advise on one of thecore disciplines (application, data, network, integration, infrastructure,security, or business process) within the enterprise architecture team and willwork with various stakeholders, teams, subject matter experts, and peerenterprise architects.

In collaboration with others, builda holistic view of the practice strategy, processes, information, and howinformation technology assets are being leveraged to drive and grow thebusiness, ensuring that the business and IT are aligned.

Oversee and advise on Azure CloudArchitecture with primary focus on infrastructure and knowledge in paralleldisciplines (application, data, network, and integration) within the enterprisearchitecture team and will work with various stakeholders, teams, subjectmatter experts, and peer enterprise architects.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

In partnership with peer enterprise architects, deliverarchitecture(s) that support the most efficient and secure IT environment tomeet the needs of the practice as well as the potential to support businessacross VHG.

Collaborate with team to provide a scalable and adaptableconsensus based enterprise solution that is in synchronization with changingbusiness needs (i.e., loosely coupled, highly cohesive, internationalized,component based hybrid cloud micro-service architecture scalable to 5000 hospitals).

Document current and future state, defining maturity roadmapfor one of the enterprise architecture disciplines (application, data, network,integration, infrastructure, security, or business process) while maintainingholistic view and perspective for the entire technical landscape.

Collaborate with team to govern the organizations technologylandscape and identify areas for improvements.

Promote creative, innovative and engaging work environment,provide technical guidance, and mentoring as needed to technical leads acrossthe practice.

Implement mission critical components, proof of concepts andminimum viable products.

Context and Scope:

Provide leadership for of the Cloud Architecture withprimary focus on infrastructure.

Key Functional Competencies andTechnical Skills:

Enterprise Cloud architecture with primary focus oninfrastructure and knowledge of application, data, network, integration, andsecurity disciplines

Special Working Conditions:

Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.

Project timelines and work volume/ deadlines may oftenrequire more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.

Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering,mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the Englishlanguage) to perform the duties proficiently.

Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written,oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.

Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb aswell as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.

Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-fingerdexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard andoperate necessary equipment.

The noise level in the work environment is normally high dueto pets.

Environment where pets are present.

Experience, Education and/or Training:

Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science.

Ten years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, ITSystems or software development.

Enterprise Architecture (infrastructure focus) is required.

Strategies, Roadmaps, project plans and architecturalartifacts experience is required.

Multi-unit Practice Management System experience is required.

Hands-on software development or equivalent experience isrequired.

Prefer health care background (veterinary or humanhealthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.).
