DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Our growing financial institution is seeking a Loan Assistant to be an integral part of our team. This position can be based out of either our Edmonds, Wenatchee, or Chelan locations. The successful candidate will work directly with loan officers in producing new loans and servicing existing loans.

Creates, organizes, and maintains credit files with appropriate documentation to ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations

Monitors collateral, property inspection, insurance, and financial tracking systems to ensure receipt of recorded security instruments, post-lien searches, appropriate insurance coverage, and compliance with loan covenants. Processes paid loans and collateral releases.

Orders preliminary title reports, flood hazard determinations, environmental screens, lien searches, verifies insurance coverage, entity verification, and other items necessary for loan underwriting and documentation.

Reviews loan packages to ensure information is complete; assists Loan Officer to obtain missing data and updates as necessary. Coordinates loan closings with title companies, lenders, and borrowers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of three years of lending or loan support experience required.

High school degree or GED required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

Ability to multi-task and handle complex tasks efficiently.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to maintain quality customer service.

Strong organizational skills.

Strong analytical skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and other basic office equipment

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: The employee is constantly required to stand and walk. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Salary is dependent upon relevant experience.
