RiverWest is looking for a new Resident Care Coordinator!

POSITION SUMMARY:

Assumes responsibility for assisting with the provision of health care services as permitted by state licensure. Participates in service planning, staff scheduling including on-call, ordering supplies, auditing and general medical record organization. Works with the Nurse and Director to insure resident needs are being satisfactorily met.

1) Adheres to and conveys philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a warm and welcoming environment.

2) Supports our vision and practices the core values of service excellence, community engagement, life enrichment, mutual respect, self-direction, accountability, diversity and innovation

3) Provides hospitable relations and customer service

4) Adheres to all policies and procedures

5) Complete monthly audits of resident binders to ensure required forms and information is in place (to include review current, signed physician orders) and archive items that can be removed

6) Set up of new resident binders prior to move in

7) Develop staff task sheets (including housekeeping)and update as needed

8) Answer telephones and take messages appropriately

9) Develop staff schedules (update every 2 weeks)

10) Assist with arranging staff training

11) Willingness to work as PSA/ Med Aide if needed, and be on call if necessary

12) Med room audit for expired or discontinued medications, medications appropriately stored and proper disposal of medications

13) Additional duties as assigned

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

1) Willingness to adhere to assisted living principles in provided services

2) Previous Long Term Care experience required. Must be licensed in the State of Washington as CNA/NAC, HCA or LPN. Must have or have the ability to obtain CPR/First Aide & Food Handler's Card within 7 days of hire.

3) Ability/willingness to perform all position responsibilities

4) Ability to recognize and communicate problems effectively

5) Ability to relate to the public, residents, families, staff, other professionals in a positive and professional manner at all times

6) Ability to demonstrate effective time management skills and consistently meet reporting and mandated deadlines

7) Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and legible records

8) Ability to work flexible hours to meet requirements of the job; to be on call

9) Ability to perform assigned tasks in neat, thorough and timely manner

10) Displays cleanliness, good grooming, personal appearance, and follows dress requirements

11) Able to do occasional heavy lifting (up to 50) pounds, and 30 pounds regularly
