Vortex Managers operates vacation rentals around Washington and has an opening for two general managers to offer management services, and oversee those services, to second homes throughout the Okanogan Valley.
Our unique "Hybrid" system of management offers locally owned and operated management combined without globally marketed and administered management programs. It promises careful and considerate management for properties and guests, and maximum income for owners. We call it "Maximum Income with Minimum Fuss."
We also provide marketing, management and other services to Inns, Resorts and hotels. So there are many prospective clients in the Okanogan area.
Our local partner managers are the key to success so we seek individuals with an entrepreneurial attitude like operating their own business but with a powerful experience management company as a partner.
The position pays a base salary, hourly for some work, and significant commissions on all rental income. The job can start as part-time and convert to full-time if you like and as the number of homes under management grows. Work is generally 6 days per week, with occasional weekend or evening appointments. A real estate license is not needed but would be a plus.
This positon can be combined with other positions you may have. For example, if you are a real estate broker it’s a good fit and will even help you sell more homes. Or if you already manage or work at a lodging property this job would be a natural fit.
Successful candidates must have a diligent work ethic, be great meeting with property owners, provide friendly hospitality service to guests, know how to manage staff members and participate in community and tourism groups including chambers of commerce and government groups. You must love working with and for people, but know how to lead them too.
Managers must have a home office and computer, with strong Wi-Fi and reliable vehicle because it is necessary to travel to the properties and regularly meet with property owners, staff and guests. We provide all software, phone services and other materials.
With Vortex assistance at recruiting housekeepers and maintenance personnel, Manager interviews and administer staff who take care of homes and guests. Until the number of homes increases substantially, managers may choose to help with housekeeping and maintenance and earn additional income.

- South Okanogan County from Omak to Brewster
- North Okanogan County from Oroville to Tonasket
- Met how Valley from Twisp to Mazama.
