Job Description:
The Lower Elementary Assistant provides support to the Lead Guide and staff, offering help and instruction to students in one-on-one or small group settings (and possibly a guided conversational Spanish class for the elementary school). The assistant will receive on-the-job training in Montessori curriculum and instruction, as well as will likely be asked to complete some Montessori assistant coursework at the expense of Joyful Scholars. The assistant also provides recess supervision and cleaning duties, on rotation with the Upper Elementary Assistant.
