Essential functions (EF) are those activities that, if not performed, would significantly and fundamentally alter the position.No. EF/SF % of Time Job FunctionsEF 60% Operate, monitor, inspect and maintain water distribution systems, booster pump stations, storage reservoirs, groundwater wells, chlorine injection and water quality monitoring equipment, and supporting components.EF 15% Construct, install, repair and replace water system components.EF 10% Maintain workplace and vehicles in clean and organized condition; keep vehicles stocked with inventory; perform or coordinate maintenance of vehicles, tools and equipment.EF 10% Support the job functions of the Water Quality Program Coordinator, Water Technician Serviceman, W/WW Operations and Maintenance Coordinator and Treatment Plant Operators.EF 5% Support construction, operation and maintenance of District-owned Wastewater, Parks, Hydro and Distribution utility systems.EF Ongoing Drive a motorized vehicle while conducting business on behalf of the District.EF Ongoing Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Perform related duties and responsibilities as required. Comply with District policies. Complete all required training. Maintain a working knowledge and comply with District safety procedures and specific safety requirements of this position, and those in accordance with applicable provisions of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) and Washington Administrative Code (WAC).QUALIFICATIONS: The qualifications listed below are representative of those required, but reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.Post-Secondary Education: No higher-level education required.Experience: Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in waterworks construction and maintenance or related systems in a utility environment.Must possess or obtain within six months certification as a WaterDistribution Manager 2 from the Washington State Department of Health.Specific KSA's: A fully skilled incumbent will have the following specific knowledge, skills, and abilities:Must have a working knowledge of the fundamentals of waterworks and related utility systems.Must have strong communication and active listening skills; must be able to quickly and accurately gather pertinent information and communicat
