The Front Desk Agent is responsible for assisting guests with check-in and check-out, answers and processes all phone calls received, plus handles all special requests for services or information, in accordance with standard policies and procedures.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily by providing You Can Count On Us service.

What You Will Be Doing,

*Serve our guests by modeling excellent service by striving for warm hospitable interactions, as well as, identifying and addressing guest issues.

*Guest registration, collecting guest payments, making and confirming guest reservations and maintaining records of assigned and available rooms.

*Maintain cleanliness and appearance of front lobby as well as ensure our guests and property team's safety by being diligent in reporting any safety or security issues.

*Manage the standards and procedures of Rodeway Inn through effective planning, organization and decision-making.

*Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.

* Anticipate guests needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests utilizing the 5:15 rule.

* Maintain positive guest relations at all times.

* Maintain complete knowledge at all times of: a) all hotel features/services, b) all room rates (special packages and promotions), c) daily house count and expected arrivals/departures. d) scheduled group activities.

* Assume responsibility of front desk bank and ensure accuracy of monies.

* Answer department telephone within 3 rings, using correct greeting and telephone etiquette.

* Process all guest check-ins/outs

* Verify Echeck-in's, Advance Purchase and 3rd party reservations.

* Obtain back-up information for guest credit/payment method and input into system; collect cash when designated.

* Handle overbooked or walked guests.

* Accept and record wake-up call requests.

* Resolve discrepancies on the room status report with Housekeeping.

Qualifications:

Education amp; Experience:

* High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).

* One to two years previous experience in a similar position in a select service hotel preferred.

* Customer service experience preferred but not required
