RSP manufactures highly accurate, state-of-the-art pressure instrumentation, pressure transmitters, temperature probes and sensors for some of the world's most vital and technologically-advanced industries.

Description

Experienced machinist position, will be required to have basic knowledge of machining tools and terminology and be effective in a production machining environment, using manual and CNC equipment.

Preferred

Some experience with MasterCam software preferred

Major Duties and Functions

Set up and maintain the tool requirements of all production CNC programs with minimal supervision.

Track and account for tools and materials used.

Check and evaluate completed production parts and make appropriate adjustments and tool changes with minimal supervision.

Set up and check parts using the coordinate measuring machine (CMM) and record results on applicable inspection documents.

Perform GD&T inspections and calculations and verify against part drawings and inspection documents.

Inspect for First Article inspections as required by co-workers.

Programming and maintenance of CNC programs used on production floor.

Work with engineering staff on new projects and R&D parts, offering accurate feedback regarding machine and tooling capabilities.

Responsible for coordinating preventive maintenance schedules on equipment.

Must have good knowledge of company documents and procedures.

Develop programs and production documentation for new parts and procedures.

Teach and train new hires and junior machinists new techniques and procedures.

Requirements

High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED).

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

5 to 10 years of experience in a production machine shop
