RJS CONSTRUCTION, INC. is an established and growing general contractor performing construction work in the Federal, Public, and Private sectors throughout the United States. We are currently seeking to engage individuals in the role of construction PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT to complement and assist our existing professional team in Yakima, WA and throughout the Northwestern United States. The ideal candidate would be able to accept direction, demonstrate confidence, possess superior communication skills (verbal and written) and be highly functional in independent as well as collaborative environments. The location of this position may depend on the location of the employee. Some travel will be required. Some projects may be in remote locations. H1 Visa not acceptable.
Responsibilities include:
Ensuring the integrity of a culture of safety and quality
Assist in creating and updating CPM schedule
Daily site paperwork and field reports
Scheduling materials and subcontract delivery, maintaining quality of work performed and adhering to the budget of the project.
Reading, understanding and interpreting contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and construction project schedules.
Must have a clear understanding of the obligation to deliver a high-quality product to the client
Organizing and leading labor trades, vendors and subcontractors
Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with clients and subcontractors.
Must be highly motivated and schedule driven
Qualifications:
The ability to stand for extended periods of time, work outdoors and lift up to 50 lbs.
General knowledge of commercial construction activities (surveying, excavation and site rough grading, masonry construction, rough framing, interior finishes, etc.).
Strong knowledge of building systems.
Basic computer skills
Five (5) years’ experience in a Construction Superintendent role
Successful experience in completing new construction projects up to $2 mil.
Proficient in Windows operating systems and associated software
USACE CQM Certification – highly desirable
OSHA Certified, OSHA 30
CPR 1st Aid training and Certification
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable and familiar with working in remote locations
