Recruitment Description:
The City of Ellensburg is looking for Recreation Aides. Responsible for providing customer service, general office support, and programming assistance to ensure the efficient operation of the Ellensburg Parks & Recreation Department facilities and programs, open and close of park facilities on a seasonal basis including monitoring and general upkeep of Irene Rinehart Riverfront Park (IRRP) and other parks as necessary.
Part-time (up to 15 hours/week with varied schedule), non-benefited positions except for earning sick leave. Sick leave is earned at a rate of one (1) hour for every paid 40 hours physically worked.
Salary: $12.10 - $14.01/hour, up to 15 hours/week
Qualifications:
Recreation Aide I:
Age 16 or older
Current ARC CPR and Standard First Aid preferred; must obtain within 60 days of employment
Experience in working with recreation programming preferred
Recreation Aide II:
Age 16 or older
Current ARC CPR and Standard First Aid preferred; must obtain within 60 days of employment
Completed a minimum of 250 hours as Recreation Aide I and/or exhibits exceptional leadership
ability or experience
Recreation Aide III:
Age 18 or older
Current ARC CPR and Standard First Aid preferred; must obtain within 60 days of employment
Completed a minimum of 250 hours as Recreation Aide II and/or exhibits exceptional leadership
ability or experience.
Recreation Aide IV:
Age 18 or older
Current ARC CPR and Standard First Aid preferred; must obtain within 60 days of employment
Must have current and valid Washington Driverâs License
Completed a minimum of 250 hours as Recreation Aide III and/or exhibits exceptional leadership ability or experience
