As the Health Initiative - Lead Staff you will b responsible for the coordination, delivery and oversight of services and empowerment programs for residents/clients of Catholic Charities Housing Services (CCHS) owned multi-family housing developments. This includes planning, and development and service delivery specific to the Health Area of Focus. Based in our Sunnyside Office and is also responsible for delivering direct on-site programming and services at multi-family housing sites in Yakima and Benton Counties. Responsible for providing and/or coordinating on-site services such as Play and Learn programs, childrens after-school activities, adult programming and service provision providing informal case management, referral, documentation, data collection and analysis. The Health Initiative-Lead Staff reports to the Resident Services Program Manager and works with all CCHS staff, on-site community managers, residents, and other community contacts in the execution of his/her duties. Further the agencies Mission, Vision, and Values and all Resident Services Program Health Initiative programming at all CCHS Housing sites.

Education:

AA or some college education from an accredited college or university in Social Welfare, Human Services, Counseling, Administration or closely related field

A combination of education and/or experience may compensate for the educational requirement

Experience:

Two years experience in non-profit or public/human services, counseling or community relations work, preferred

Special Skills:

Knowledge of social services programs, service delivery networks and affordable housing programs.

Computer skills including knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing, e-mail, internet access and specialized housing applications

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

High level of self-motivation and willingness to work in a team setting

High level of ability to work independently

Excellent written and oral communications skills

Bilingual(English/Spanish) required

Licensure, Registration, Certification:

Valid Washington State drivers license and minimum required liability insurance

Current CPR/First Aid Certification

Employment is conditional upon:

Being cleared by criminal background check and fingerprinting when required

Must be at least 18 years of age
