The City of Ellensburg has a vacancy in the Engineering Division of the Public Works & Utilities Department for an Engineering Technician II.
The person in this position will provide a wide range of technical engineering services, including survey, drafting, construction inspection, water, sewer and public works permit preparation. Will maintain records and files, provide information to the public, and act as a contact for review of new development projects. Maintain accurate AutoCAD and GIS maps for water, sewer, storm, streets, address, right of way and other maps of City infrastructure.
Responsible within an assigned area for specialized technical work for the completion of City engineering projects and addressing issues through the engineering and public works & utilities divisions.
Salary: $4,372 - $5,465 / month plus excellent benefits
Qualifications:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two year college or technical school, preferably in Civil Engineering; and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements:
Must be physically capable of moving about on construction work sites under adverse field conditions. Have a valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one prior to employment and maintain an insurable driving record.
