The Summitview Cowiche Veterinary Clinic is seeking to fill a full/part time position for a Licensed Veterinary Technician. We are a privately owned 2+ doctor, small animal practice whose focus is on wellness and prevention. We are committed to providing our clients and patients with high-quality comprehensive care. Weekday shifts vary between 7-9 hours per day with some Saturdays, from 8 until noon.
Applicant Qualifications: Well suited individuals are detail oriented, proactive in anticipating the needs of clients, patients and co-workers. You must be able to work in partnership with the entire team and express yourself well through both written and verbal communication. Accurate typing and computer skills are required. Outstanding customer service skills are of utmost importance. Experienced technicians as well as new graduates will be considered.
Daily duties include but are not limited to:
Animal Restraint
Venipuncture/IV Catheter placement
Anesthesia induction and monitoring
Prescription refills
Radiology
Cleaning
Surgical preparation and assistance
Must be able to lift 40+lbs
Client communication
Utilization of our Veterinary Software
Utilization of a multi-line phone system
Requirements:
Current Washington State Veterinary Technician License.
New graduates must obtain their license within 90 days of graduation.
