Growing personal injury law firm in Yakima is in need of a legal assistant / paralegal to join our busy team. Duties include meetings and telephone calls with clients, investigating claims, talking with insurance adjusters on the phone, obtaining medical and billing records, and drafting legal documents. Will work under the direction of attorney and other experienced paralegals.
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and must be proficient with modern office equipment including computer, printer, scanner, Microsoft Office Suite, phone, and electronic fax. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish.
This position will start as full-time but temporary to fill in for a paralegal who will be on maternity leave from mid-October through the end of the year. Depending on performance and fit, there is a possibility this will turn into a permanent position at the beginning of 2021.
