We are an experienced automotive tire shop that also does automotive repairs and oil changes. We have been in the area for 9+ years and are seeking for an experienced person that knows car components and has had some experience in working in an auto repair or tire shop. This job position is a Sales & Service Position meaning the personnel is to prioritize his/her role as a Service Sales Advisor and provide physical support to his/her technicians when they need help on specific repair orders or tire installs. Typical Job Duties are as follows:
PRIORITY TASK
-Greet customers upon arrival to shop
-Ascertain reason for customer visit through verbal interview and visual assessment of vehicle
-Connect customers with appropriate automotive mechanic or tire tech, writing a designated repair order
-Consult with mechanics regarding appropriate service options
-Develop as many solution methods as possible, attempting to keep costs low, covering all automotive issues.
-Explain all service options to customers including time and cost estimates
-Provide in-depth information on original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part options as well as aftermarket
-Advise customers on warranty protections and other potential cost-saving service options
-Track maintenance or repair status, fill out reports on labor and cost of all services
-Perform post-service inspection with customers and answer any questions they may have
-Ring up customers at the front desk, facilitate financial transactions, fill out customer financing forms
-Perform customer service duties i.e. answering the phone, scheduling service appointments, and calling customers to inform them their vehicles are ready for pick up etc.
-Communicate with manager of inventory that needs to be restocked, process warranty returns, fill out daily end of work day report, recording all customer contact and sales leads.
-Prepares service estimates, sells routine maintenance / repair services, addresses customer concerns
-Conducts and Records follow-ups regarding unsold services.
-Manage shop workflow and schedule for mechanics and technicians by scheduling jobs appropriately
-Performs opening and closing responsibilities and other duties as requested.
SECONDARY PRIORITY
At times the front desk maybe quiet and the technicians are booked with jobs in this circumstance if a new customer shows up and needs a service you are required to carryout this service to avoid the disruption of the work flow in the bays. Typical service you may be performing are as follows:
-Flat Repairs
-Tire Rotations
-Oil Changes
-OBD II Code Look Up
-Tire Pressure Monitor System Relearn
-Occasional Mounting and Balancing of Tires
-Place Tires or Wheels in technician work area to maintain a steady work flow for technicians.
English/Spanish Bilingual is a Must
Able to Lift 50 pounds is required for moving tires, rims, shipping pallets etc
Position is a part time but can become a full time position
Pay is dependent on experience
