Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst toprovide IT business analysis, planning, and market research support to a federal agency. This is work in support of a possible newcontract we are pursuing.

Youwill be expected to perform the following typical duties:

  • Conductrequirements elicitation, analysis, and market research activities leading to a business case and preparation for acquisition.
  • Initiate, schedule, conduct facilitated workshops/meetings with project sponsors, product owners, business and technical subject matter experts, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Map current As-Is business processes, assess gaps, and develop future To-Be states.
  • Create detailed functional and non-function requirements, data requirements (including data integrations/interfaces), information security and privacy requirements, enterprise architecture requirements, and other technical requirements.
  • Capture defects ofcurrent IT system(s) and data architecture deficiencies.
  • Define operational metrics including target benchmark.
  • Prepare business cases including cost estimates
  • Prepare other supporting documents, plans, and deliverables as required.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degreein Accounting, Finance, Business Administration,Marketing, Information Systems Management, Computer Science or related
    field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience as a business or systems analyst on IT systems development projects
  • Advanced knowledge of technologies,SDLC methodology, and UML.
  • Experience with Agile to includeScrum and Scaled Agile (SAFe)
  • Ability to performcost-benefit analysis, trending, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Supports stakeholder sessions and captures both decisions and context of discussions, and synthesizes into meeting notes
  • Strong consulting skills - including excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong group facilitation skills
  • Experience facilitating business requirements discovery
  • Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Excellent client relationship management skills
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cohesively in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience using the following MS Office Suite tools: Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel and other process mapping tools and techniques

Desired:

  • Business Analysis certifications or related
  • Experience with ServiceNow
  • Certified Scrum Master
  • Certified Product Owner
